In 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to participate as an artist in the Venice Biennale and the InDesign competition with my creation, “Artemis.”
This competition serves as a vital platform for showcasing one’s talent in an environment that values innovation and creativity, offering the chance to conceive and realize original projects, tackle complex challenges, and develop innovative solutions. Moreover, the competition introduces young people to the professional world, allowing them to experience the dynamics of the workplace and exhibit their projects in a dedicated pavilion. This experience, reserved for a select few, represents a significant addition to one’s resume, highlighting dedication and the ability to excel in a competitive environment.
Although my work did not win a prize or special mention, for me, it achieved the highest place among my personal goals. Ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep passion for fashion, and especially for my innovative ideas. This experience allowed me to realize my potential, proving that I can achieve any goal, overcoming the prejudices of old friends and envious people.

1. Selections
At the beginning of the 2022 school year, the opportunity to participate in the competition organized by the Ministry of Education, the thirteenth edition of the ‘New Design’ competition, was presented. This competition was aimed at students in the third, fourth, and fifth years of all high school art programs, both state and private, with the goal of promoting, encouraging, and supporting their design potential.
After an internal selection within my class to choose the three best works to submit to the competition, my project, “Artemis,” was also chosen by the external jury in January and February to be among the 108 masterpieces to be exhibited at the Biennale.
Subsequently, in the following months, I and two other selected classmates created the patterns. During the following school year, which has just ended (2023/2024), we created the garments and wrote an instruction booklet to add all the necessary details to better understand our work.
2. Inspiration

Ancient Greece, Artemis (Goddess), sea, calla lily, kimono (traditional Japanese garment).
3. Artmeis
The garment presented here consists of an applied and removable V-neck, a bodice with wide sleeves, and asymmetrical skirts. The entire garment is completely transformable. Artemis was designed for a clientele ranging from young adults who spend their time in the office but also in places of leisure and culture (cinema, museums, travel), therefore needing to wear an outfit that can be modified quickly and easily; even in public places. The line is soft, and the only darts are those on the bodice. The absence of other seams prevents the garment from having a tight fit, ensuring a sense of comfort and softness. The fabric chosen is Crabyon; opted for its eco-sustainability and soft touch, in contrast to the fabrics increasingly present on the market with the spread of fast fashion, which in recent years have been creating negative reactions to the skin.
